So I just finished my first paid cake order. It was for a girl I knew in Highschool, it was her husband's birthday. He is into boating and wakeboarding and stuff like that so this is what I thought would be great for him!
The first shot it part way through, I carved the cake then covered it with the fondant and kinda molded it for the inside of the boat. The second is a shot of the inside, it was kinda plain and simple because I didn't want to try too much and ruin it... haha and then the Third shot is the final product! There are a few things I would do different next time, but seeing as its the first time i've done anything like this and the first time doing a freakin boat! lol I think I did a pretty good job. They loved it, so i guess it all works out! :D

Great job!! I love it. That is not a simple cake to do. Carving the cake is really hard. You're on a roll!
it was a lot harder than i thought, i probably could have done better on the details on the boat, but it just didn't work out that way. i charged her $20. mostly because i really had no idea how it would turn out.
That boat looks really cute and cool! Can I just say that your blog is making me want some cake!

"teacher" tells me everytime I talk to her, that your cakes look so delish that it makes her want some... I was thinking, maybe you should make her a cake!
